Valdo

History

The history of Prosecco Valdo began in 1926, when a group of enterprising winemakers from Valdobbiadene, Italy decided to join forces to create the Società Anonima Vini Superiori: a company principally devoted to sparkling wine production of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and Cartizze. The great step forward in terms of quality started at the beginning of the twenties when the company was bought by the Bolla family from Verona and was renamed: Valdo Spumanti.

Sergio Bolla the father of Pierluigi – the current Chairman – focused on expanding sales both in Italy and abroad, he set new commercial and production targets with the aim of increasing awareness of Prosecco Valdo, or to be precise the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, throughout the world. Valdo is a world leader in the art of producing fine Prosecco and Italian Spumanti. Located in Valdobbiadene in the north of Italy, a region of spectacular natural richness. The history of Valdo dates back to 1926. Since then, Valdo has given precedence to a culture of excellence, earned by hard work and tireless passion.
